The Uluwehi Project Short Sleeve Tshirt

The Uluwehi Project Tshirt front has the project logo with the Līpoa Limu. The design on the back of the shirt is inspired by the mapping of UH Hilo’s mural of Edith Kanakaʻole. Kamea Hadar used this outline to create the mural from a photo taken by Franco Salmoiraghi. This design shows that Aunty Edith embodies her own topography through the mele and oli she creates. We used the line “Mai manaʻo he pono kēia” from the second verse of Ka Uluwehi O Ke Kai to remind us that there is a need for the practice we do no matter the circumstances.
